Gender Spectrum Parent Community (Zoom Meeting)
5 pm PT, 3rd Monday of each month
This 90-minute group session is open to parents and caregivers of gender-diverse young people. Registration is required to attend. Those who register will receive a follow-up email confirmation with a link to the meeting. Visit PFLAG to learn more.
Gender Spectrum provides education, training, and support to help create a gender-sensitive and inclusive environment for all children and teens. It also hosts free online support groups for pre-teens, teens, parents, caregivers, etc.
Transforming Family is a Los Angeles-based family support group creating a positive environment for children, adolescents, and their families to explore issues of gender identity.
Operating out of San Diego, California, TransFamily Support Services helps transgender and non-binary youth and their families through the gender-transitioning process. They offer assistance with healthcare and insurance issues, legal system navigation, and support at schools.
Many transgender people and families have had negative experiences in their faith communities. Santa Barbara has very welcoming spaces that support out and proud transgender, gender fluid, gender non-binary, and agender members.
