SBTAN relies on the support of our donors and funding grants to provide services and resources to our community.
Your generous support enables us to continue hosting regular Lisa’s Place gatherings, a support group for parents and families of transgender children, and various events and initiatives designed to create a bright and safe future for transgender people. We can’t thank you enough for this.
If you prefer to donate by check, please make it out to Santa Barbara Transgender Advocacy Network and mail to:

Don’t forget about employer matching!
As a service to our community, we collect gently used binders and distribute them to those who need them. If you have spare binders and are willing to donate them to our community, please reach out to make arrangements.
*If the term “binders” is new to you, a binder is a purpose-built undergarment that creates the appearance of a flatter chest, typically to relieve gender dysphoria.
Your help and support are vital! We need volunteers to assist with upcoming events, share their expertise for special projects, and fill essential board positions. Please contact us to start a discussion.
When gender non-conforming folks come out, they risk everything – rejection from their families and friends, as well as discrimination from medical providers and employers! If you are a trans-friendly employer with jobs to fill or can introduce us to someone who is, please let us know so we can connect our community members to those who can help.
Our community is under attack by those who wish to severely limit the rights of transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people and the families that support them.
Fortunately, several national organizations, such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), PFLAG National, and GLMA, the country’s largest organization of LGBTQ+ and allied health professionals, have joined with some brave families to fight back.
If you are looking for other ways to help our community, please consider donating to these organizations and others like them so they can continue this vital work.
